WHICH VISA DO YOU NEED?

Citizens of countries that adhere to the Visa Waiver Program (Italy is one of them) can enter and remain in Canada for a period not exceeding 180 days without a visa. In this case, they will have to request and obtain an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization).

Citizens who cannot apply for the eTA and those who intend to stay in Canada for a period longer than 180 days will have to apply for a visa. Depending on the duration and the reasons for the trip (tourism, study, work, volunteering, medical reasons), there are different types of visas. Here are some examples:

VISITOR VISA

The visitor visa is issued to foreign nationals who travel to Canada for tourism, business, transit/stopovers or visits to family members.

STUDy permit

The study permit is issued to students who are going to attend a Canadian school or university. The student is authorized to stay in the country for the entire duration of the course and to carry out some types of jobs.
